Are you a closet musician?
You’ve always known there’s music inside you.
Your stories, feelings, and melodies want to come alive.

But fear gets in the way.

Maybe you think it’s "too late" to start.
Maybe past experiences made you hide your voice.
Maybe you think, "if it's not perfect, I won't do it at all".
Maybe sharing your voice just feels too vulnerable.

But deep down, you know your music is meant to be heard.
Deep down, you want to share your songs, perform, and be seen as the artist you know you are.

Monica Larrea:
About me
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember — choir concerts, school projects, even making up silly songs. At age 23, I already had experience singing in dozens of stages, but when it came to the songs that really mattered — MY songs — I kept them hidden.

Growing up as a first-generation Latina, I was never taught the importance of vulnerability or having a safe space to share without judgment. I thought I was "too sensitive", and always strived to become "good enough." My perfectionism got me the title of Magna Cum Laude, but at the expense of my self-care.

Everything changed in 2018 when I shared one of my songs at a small song circle — I was shaking, nervous, but ready. When I shared my song, I finally felt seen. From there, I started going to open mics, performing regularly, and slowly stepping into the artist I was meant to be.

I’ve now released three singles, performed at over 500 shows, and taught music to hundreds of students of all ages. I’m still growing and transforming, but now I get to help others do the same — to overcome fear, share their voice, and let their music be heard! As a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), my music Therapy background + knowledge of Eastern healing allows me to provide a grounded, holistic approach to coaching. I love helping the whole artist & creative soul. It means the world to create lasting connections with my students and empower them to reach their full potential as musicians and human beings.
